Working on Css image popup
Just some notes
I have a css conflict at the moment, hence the little box in the un-hovered image.
It is rendering of border around the image which is not seen by the browser. This is used on general images just as a cosmetic highlight. Please note also, that I will post links to sites that aided me in this small hover jobby.
There are lots of examples out there demonstrating this effect. Check links at bottom for details.

Oikofugic Design has branched out
It wasn’t anything I had considered until recently, hadn’t come across any myspace pages whilst browsing, and hadn’t even looked at what the site had to offer.
A few days ago I changed my mind
Chatting at work, and it turns out that these social networking pages are indeed very popular, apparently over 50 million unique users.
So I searched Mat with one ‘T’ , one in a million. Mat’s place. and whilst there I found DJ Burger aka Chris, check his home and thought to myself why the hell not, no-one ever looks at my website, and so far I’ve had nowt but spam on the new blog, so I decided to take the plunge.
That was a few days ago, but didn’t get round to following up my plans until I came across an article by Mike D of Mike industries titled hacking a more tasteful myspace.
He has provided copy and paste css and instructions you can download, you do a little image tweaking and whatever modifications you desire and you are away with a myspace page you can be proud of. Cheers Mike

Spammers. Ahhh
I wouldn’t mind so much, as this blog is in its early stages
getting no comments, it’s only to be expected. Have been playing around with the functionality and getting to grips with some of the php, when one morning recently I clicked on dashboard and saw four comments awaiting moderation.
Excellent I thought.
I quickly realised the comments were spam, but wasn’t too concerned, and in a slightly naive way was thinking at least the blog is out there.
That was about two weeks ago and nearly 700 spams later.
Spam Karma 2
Karma to the rescue. I have just downloaded and installed spam karma2, had a quick glance through the settings. think I’ll leave them be for a while, see how we get on.
That was a couple of hours ago and bizarrely no spamming activity to report, maybe because I’m logged on, I don’t know, just coincidence. Updates as they occur.
booo
Update, I noticed after installing spam karma that all, absolutely all the spams my site is receiving are targeted to one post.
The post itself is just a reminder to myself to check the code generated by posts you see on some blogs. (rdf:RDF &c.) I may yet delete the post and see what happens.
Another update, have deleted the post mentioned above, just as an experiment, it’s only been an hour and twenty minutes, but as yet no spam. I’m sure this won’t stop the tirade, we’ll just have to wait and see.

Globally Recognized Avatar

This is at least for now the image that I shall be using as my Gravatar. You can find more information about these personal identifiers at www.gravatar.com
Be warned, it takes a little time to get your image rated for its content. A team of volunteers always have quite a queue, but they get through it and I think it ‘s worth the wait.
What do you think, like or dislike.
