On-Line photo editing/sharing application

The application is still in it’s beta phase, and if you use it outside of the US you may experience delays as the pictures have to go via American servers.
I uploaded an album to test, see what photoshop effects, features are on offer. The uploading was successful, a little slow, but not too bad considering.
After you create your account you arrive here: below, where the interface is clear and easy to navigate. With 2Gb storage I think this is a nice little free app.

Just after the sunset
Beneath you birch with silver bark
And boughs so pendulous and fair,
The brook falls scattered down the rock:
and all is mossy there.

Still experimenting with the d40, should have used a tripod, as image is obviously blurred. Taken with aperture mode priority, to try and catch the sunlight reflection naturally.

When you wish you could turn back the clock

My dust sheets were still in a nice pile on a chair in the middle of the room!
The photo above was taken in the dining room, which was to be the first of two rooms to receive the tradesman’s treatment.
Arriving home after work on the first monday of plastering, anticipation and fear my companion. My first footsteps into the landscape of DIY had been violated my vogue laminate cast as naught as the master plasterer chanced his subtle hand upon my walls…, and the floor
Watching the plaster dry

Days later after severe tooth brush cleaning into the floor joins mopping, vacuuming dust, discovering a new use for the universally talented baby wipe and our guy had flown off into the sunset it was time for the sanding.

To be fair, all the plaster residue did clean up eventually, and once we had painted the walls a good finish was observed, and it was a very good price at the end of the day.
I don’t even know how long the process took, it is still going on, slowly now we have the dust under control, we have the computer set up, be gone with you beastly useless laptop. Still got final paint coat to do door frames, lights, that’s a story for another day. Span tackles the electricity, rewires lights blah blah, lights don’t work. I love this DIY Shiteee
We shall end on a happy note.
The cleaning proper

Tis the beer of the night..

Got the computer back. I am happy.

Hi this is my personal weblog, The site is powered by wordpress, which
serves to give the site it’s interactivity, It is an extension of my first site, Central12.com a delightful journey into the past/future. and my experiments in cyberspace.
My Journey
It all began with my first pc, about 8 years ago,
It began at the dawn of time.
playing around with photo software, learning coral, It was quite some time to be honest
(before i decided my nose needed scratching)
before I got connected to the net, and quite some time after that
that my legs and movement and composition of nature
before I turned my hand to creating web pages.
Watching you, watching me.
I am not by any stretch a prolific writer, spend too much time on that
but i do like to write and consider it later.
one pixel alignment that just isn’t right. You know the one that
(even if it’s a boulder in a desert.)
nobody else would notice.
Having said all that I think I have progressed
to the rank of Jedi
quite a way, with a reasonable, nay comprehensive knowledge of css and
cyber jargon
html, xhtml. A growing understanding of php and MySql, learning through
familiarity with the eternal chaos
trial and error, on this wordpress platform.
and drinking tea
Mostly fun, often frustrating, i’ll grind my teeth, scratch my head,
Check out the latest theory of everything
but in the end it will happen.
And I will make a, da dah Separation.
Thankyou.

Money from your blog
A new year, another year and you’d possibly imagine that I’d have loads to talk about. The truth is… and I hesitate at the keyboard .. Fat cat Charlie staring at me in anticipation of his supper, I’m scraping the barrel, and have been for a while.

Initially in the creation of this blog the learning process carried me forward, brought into life from a determination, a passion and a belief that my acquired knowledge would deliver me into a new prosperous era. This up till now hasn’t been the case, however, to be fair I haven’t made full use of the recourses at hand.
I am nothing if not optimistic and believe the corner is just over the next hill. Ha aha.
So google ads, everybody who designs a web site knows about these little ads you can place within your content, which in theory will make links to relevant other sites with similar content, thoughts etc.
That is one above in all its glory, I have no knowledge writing this what the content of this add will be, usually they correspond well to my written words, and I am happy to have them there.
I imagine now, if I use enough well thought out key words, such as:
Making money from your blog
get rich with google ad sense,
the ads will reflect this and draw readers to click links in the hope that they too can become an internet entrepreneur.
If a visitor to the site clicks on one of the links a revenue is generated for the displayer of said link.
It sounds good in theory, but my experience has been, when checking site stats this infrequently happens.
To begin with this site is lucky to get 20 hits a day, although the numbers are growing, visitors rarely click links.
There seems to be a feeling that the whole process is somehow contrived and dishonest, that the sole point of a post is to direct visitors elsewhere so that they might purchase a product, thus rendering the whole scheme viable.
It has become habit now with me when visiting sites that display advertising to click links if content made me laugh, or indeed helped me to solve a problem.
The thing is, non designers browsing the web, and I am only speculating don’t realize this and under the terms and conditions of the google adsense contract the designer is not allowed to coerce visitors towards links, other than to place them in highly conspicuous locations.

Above: My earnings over the last 15 months: My goal, to make the ton by 2009. Ha ha, I’m an ambitious chap.
See you in rich-ville.
