God, Christianity and the lobotomy project.

Revelation 21

Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and there was no longer any sea. I saw the Holy City, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride beautifully dressed for her husband. And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Now the dwelling of God is with men, and he will live with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God. He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.”

I am no theologian, and I am sure this question has been asked many times before, but i’m going to get it down anyway.
Assuming that i believed my immortal soul would ascend to heaven at the time of my death, had I met the strict entry criteria.
Assuming also those that hadn’t would go to the sulphurous fire pits of hell, and face ‘eternal torment’.

About Me now..

Upon finding myself in this paradise I would bask in the glow of God and feel good. Possibly for a few million years, not such a long time in all eternity. I would live in one of his many mansions, might have a couple to allow for short breaks, to holiday where the illuminating rays are a little dimmer.

I would wander around, maybe converse with his Seraphim, chat with his Cherubim, I would eventually seek out family and friends, we’d get together, have a bbq talk about old times in this new order. Reminiscing, we’d remember John, and Sue and my Dad and Mum, my friends, more than half the population of the world, and comment how they failed to make the grade, for they had no faith, or they did not believe.

Have we all, the ascended ones been lobotomized, has our memory been wiped, how else could we not feel a little sad for all those billions of lost souls.
