Centering text on the canvas in photoshop
It’s been bugging me for a while, getting used to what where familiar functions in corel photopaint.
For eg. Right click on text, a drop down box appears: Arrange – Align and distribute – to center of document.
Easy when you know.
But what about photoshop:
I found the answer here, also easy when you know, but alas I didn’t find it until I googled.
Select the text layer and the background layer in the Layers panel,
Click the text layer as shown below, and whilst holding ctrl select the background layer.
You will see a marquee around the entire canvas.

and then pick the Align Center button on the Options bar.
