Lynsey Birchall | Photography

Photography and photographic retouching.

This site represents a synthesis of my accumulated knowledge and experience, and as such is possibly with the exception of this humble blog the work I am most proud of.

The site is hand written in valid xhtml and css, conforming to the standards set out by the web’s governing body, the w3c.
The site also uses php include to bring the various aspects of the template together.

Photographic Retouching | In-Alizarin

This was a very nice project to work on, because my client Lynsey had from the beginning a very clear idea of what she wanted, and plenty of excellent material to fill the pages.

As photography is an everyday activity I felt that Lynsey might like the addition of a blog to update and upload images.
Enter Alizarin-Updates.

This is a wordpress template database driven addition to Lynseys site, and has been styled to blend seamlessly with the main site.

Rachel Macdonald

Singer Songwriter

Rachel, and her husband Hamish are friends. Going back many years Rachel has always been a talented musician, so when I heard she was producing her first album, I was excited at the prospect of making my first real promotional website.

Formby nature reserve

The squirrel woods

This is a little site I did quite some time ago now.
It is a sub domain of central12, and is just a general information site about the pine woodland and coastal dunes on this national trust reserve.

Formby nature reserve

This section of the Sefton Coast is owned and managed by the National Trust. The open foreshore, shifting sand dunes, historic asparagus beds, and mature pine woods make it a special place for recreation and wildlife.

Next@Central12.com

I grabbed the domain central 12.com as mentioned above, basically because it is where I work (My mundane life and because it was available.)
Expecting to see a flock of traffic to the site simply because there are more than a dozen businesses situated in the commercial park.

Next Retail

Not even a site, just a page with a few pictures, a little basic flash thrown in, and some referral ads. So if you need educational toys, shoes or stockings click a link and go crazy.

So it begins

Central12

Central12, my first real site, now archived was where I took my first tentative steps into the world of web publishing.

Central 12, the name of the site comes from a commercial center in my home town of Southport. The original idea behind buying that domain, (after my initial surprise that it was not taken) was to sign all the businesses into a communal site under the one banner. Infact this project is more on the cards now a couple of years down the line, thus my original learning zone will soon be cleared out in preparation for the new scheme. central12.com has been archived.
Have a look if you feel so inspired. I will keep it around just for nostalgia.
